keeperfrenzy
is this a keeperfrenzy
keeper (n) a person who looks after something. frenzy (n) a state or period of uncontrolled excitement or wild behaviour.
The greatest game a goalkeeper could ever wish for. Also known as Goalie Wars or Keeper Wars (there’s far to many wars in the world for my liking) keeperfrenzy has become a regular part of my coaching schedule. The game itself has been around forever and is the ideal way to finish a session. A goalkeeper will have to utilise every one of their abilities in order to come out on top in this game.
It is my intention to bring keeperfrenzy to a wide footballing audience, as it offers a potential hotbed for talent spotting. Try and get to as many events as possible.
My rules of the game:
Two Keepers.. Two Goals.. Two minutes
Two goals 16-18 yards apart.
Defend your own goal and try to score against your opponent by throwing or kicking the ball from within your 4 yard area.
Saved balls that return to play outside your 4 yard area are ‘live’ and your opponent can shoot again.. so be ready.
Once you have touched a ball you have 6 seconds to shoot.
All games last two minutes.
If the result is a tie.. then sudden death rules apply.
